With more than 10 years in recreational fishing and a very experienced captain for 15 years, the Tight Lines fishing team has extensive knowledge of the different bodies of water, flora, fauna and the behavior of tarpon within the San José, Torrecilla and Piñones lagoons. Thanks to that, our customers acquire knowledge about different ecosystems and landscapes, giving a plus to our service and leaving an unforgettable fishing experience.
We are sure that Puerto Rico is one of the best places to fish for tarpon, since it is one of the few places where tarpon does not have predators within the lagoon. We’re very lucky the water here is mostly calm securing that our operations are almost never interrupted by weather conditions (thunderstorms, hurricanes and tropical depressions).
For your convenience, we are located minutes from the Puerto Rico airport (SJU) and tourist areas; 10 minutes from Isla Verde, 20 minutes from Condado and Old San Juan. Are you ready to fish with us?
Our Equipment
At Tight Lines fishing we care about having a complete fishing equipment accompanied by recognized brands in the fishing industry, which facilitate the catching of tarpon and maximize the customer experience.
Our Bass Cat Bay 21” boat is currently the only one that offers customers more space and shade (we have a bimini-top shade kit), since after 4 to 6 hours of fishing in the sun can be exhausting. We also have snacks, water and soft drinks, everything we need to make your adventure very comfortable!
Sea Fox Bay Boat 2006 16”
The perfect boat for spinning or fly fishing with capacity for up to 2 people. This boat promises to take you to places where few can go, due to its size and comfort . It allows the angler to fish in extreme places and features an Evinrude 90 e-tec engine, perfect for lagoon and reef fishing.
Bass Cat Bay 21”
Our larger and more comfortable boat has a capacity of up to 5 people and its space allows the angler to walk around the boat with ease. The boat has a very nice shade, 5 nurseries for bait, capacity for up to 5 people and a Mercury 225 Optimax engine. It’s perfect for tarpon fishing and other species! With this boat we can fish in the open sea (offshore) if the weather conditions allow it.
Fully equipped and ready to go
All our reels are from Florida Fishing Products, which are designed to withstand harsh saltwater conditions and have a very smooth mechanism. Combined with our fishing rods from Falcon Rods, which are very light and have natural cork handles, makes this equipment the perfect one for tarpon fishing.
Local flies
Get excited to try fly fishing on puerto rican waters! We use the finest custom flies, hand tied by local fishermen and Captain David as well.
